Laughed at by a President, Patronized by Senators – How Low Can They Get?

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has opened our eyes.  It wasn’t her intention to do so in the way that has occurred, but her testimony wasn’t for nothing.

We have seen senators on the one hand say that they believe her, but on the other that they don’t.  They conveniently patronize her as a pawn.  After all, a woman who is credible can’t be so on her own — she must be a puppet of adversaries.  Even Senator Susan Collins is one of these believers who doesn’t believe – a woman who thinks that Blasey Ford was assaulted but not by the man she is 100% sure did it.

Maybe Collins simply enjoyed all the public attention because we have no evidence to the contrary — far less evidence than the world has regarding the unfitness of Bret Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.  Blasey Ford opened our eyes to the real Senator Collins.

Blasey Ford helped reconfirm the crudeness, “low life” as he likes to say, of President Donald Trump.  After the hearing, he considered Blasey Ford credible and a few days later mocked her unmercifully.  What kind of person does this?  What kind of people follow his lead?

Then there’s the even-if-he-did-it-so-what club whose members believe even if he did assault Dr. Blasey Ford, it was 36 years ago.  Even if he lied under oath, the man was upset, they reason.  So, we might ask, why not leave him where he is?  Instead, they prefer to elevate him to the Supreme Court.

Dr. Blasey Ford  did her civic duty.  In the process, she reminded us that women cannot rest with regard to the issue of sexual misconduct or any form of equality.  They need to shirk labels like “mob” used by Senator Grassley and other senators to disparage their right to speak out.

We have unfortunately learned that if you are sexually assaulted you’d better write down every detail, tell your friends, and seek legal advice because otherwise you won’t be believed.  And you might be mocked and patronized by people with too much power.

I think, if I had not been watching AMJoy just now on MSNBC and listening to all of these smart women pointing out
every fallacy, that I have seen and called out myself, in these sham hearings and press conferences – my head would have exploded by
    now.

It is such a comfort to hear these women point out the truth, and know, that this is no where near over. – next stop – the MOVIE!

I believe someone, say, Michael Moore, is going to do the work the FBI was “blocked from doing” (really?!! 6 vets on Bret and they managed
to cover up what they knew about him, didn’t they now???!!!)

Michael will, interview all 40 witnesses that came forward to corroborate to the FBI, and they will have their opportunity
to tell the world the truth, and will expose this cover up for what it is – white supremacist — all white male privilege and status quo.

To see Orrin Hatch wave his finger at women and tell them to “grow up” while democrat Manchin states, “I’m just a good ‘ol boy from
West Virginia so I’ma gonna hafta vote yes” and Susan Collin contradict her self in justifying her vote of yes,
amounted to her telling pure lies; “no corroboration” she said, forgetting to
to mention “the 40 people who came forward to corroborate Dr. Ford and Ramirez’s stories, weren’t even allowed
to corroborate, weren’t interviewed in the first place.”
(When we democrats have control of both houses again, we need to make some serious changes in the laws; example – the FBI will conduct
their investigations driven by “all of the evidence pursued” and not merely by arbitrary scope and it will not be decided by Supreme Court
judges that “a president can not be indicted for his criminal charges” but, to the contrary, if a president is charged with crimes, then if
a president is indicted – he can not be president.” NO MORE OF THESE CORRUPT LOOPHOLES for the swamp monsters!

    Shame on their sham.

Did you hear senator Grassly calling the Will of the People a “mob mentality?!!”

Our right to carry out demonstrations as per the first amendment of the Constitution
Grassy claimed amounted to “Mob mentality?!!”

Then, the same false slander was echoed verbatim by Graham, judge Janeen, Hannity, and by
Trump himself, in a hate rally of defamation, indoctrination propaganda.
The lies are laughing now, but soon, in a month, Truth will have it’s turn, in the midterm election, in the
Trump investigation and further investigations of Bret Kavanaugh.

In the Trump rally, Trump was falsely accusing the Democrats, of precisely what the Republicans are guilty of themselves
as usual, and the “mob mentality” he referred to, is in fact, due process and the Public Will Republicans are supposed to “represent”
    and uphold.”

Then Grassly sticks his other foot in his mouth and says:

“Oh, we can’t have more women on our committees ’cause, it’s alotta work, and maybe
these little women don’t wanna work that hard.”

Meanwhile, accused 19 times of sexual misconduct, Trump, is at his rally’s mocking the victims –
and spreading his ignorant will to his base core. – disgusting.

Welcome to the Repuglican White House.

All 3 of the spineless, right-wing cowards, starting with Flake – had to be shamed into disgrace to finally do the right thing, and
then they turned around and voted yes anyway, in lock step with the perpa-traitors!

Thank God for all of these women (and some men?), marching in mass, mad as hell
demonstrating, what a brilliant examples of moral indignation I can think of nothing I am more
grateful to and more inspiring to myself and the entire nation watching, a whole lotta women,
who demonstrated – thank God! Thank you so much, all of you who demonstrated we owe you
the very salvation of this country and its values.

Their coming out, to protest in a massive wave of demonstrations, worked.!

It may not have swayed the senators’ to vote no, and morally, and represent the public will,
but it sure swayed the public – the American people!

These demonstrators shamed Murkowski of Alaska to finally do the right thing and vote no, as per her constituents, that she
is supposed to “represent” and then Heidi Heitkamp, god bless her, she clearly voted her conscience without anyone having to tell her to,
    she basically said it:

“How the hell do I get up in the morning, look at myself in the mirror, having voted for Kavanaugh?!” Brilliant!
    And so true!

These senators who voted by way of their conscience, the 2400 lawmakers who sent their letter to vote NO against Kavanaugh,
and the retired Supreme Court Justice who said Kavanaugh is unfit to serve, and other groups, signing letters in mass to lend
their protest that Kavanaugh should not be appointed,

in contrast to Flake, Manchin and Collins voting, according to their absurd rationale and utter subterfuge and mis-information,
could not have been more glaringly transparent to anyone with common sense, decency, character, integrity, for the honest
    truth and justice.

And this deflection and lame excuse about, “Well, poor Kavanaugh, he only caved because of the persecution and pressure,
as any, such decent husband and father, would buckle under the pressure, to have to go through.”

    Are you fing kidding me?!!

Remember the “decent wife and mother,” who was put through the real Republican witch hunt, an 11 hour hearing, who
comported herself with complete integrity, character and composure, answered every question under oath and truthfully
in her testimony, for 11 hours of false/bogus allegations, slander, lies, defamation, under the most hostile interrogation??!!

    – yeah her – Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to forget completely composed, albeit her being completely traumatized, and coming forward solely as her
civic duty dictated to represent the Truth, Dr. Ford’s measure and calm testimony in contrast to judge Kavanaugh’s
total mental melt-down,- titty-baby brat attack (for real?!! Republicans?!! ARE YOU FOR REAL!).

It’s an interview for a job dude, not some surly, pity-pot party.

God I hope this motivates minorities and millennials to flex their muscles, get off their duffs and show us what they’re made of
take what these brave men and women did in demonstrating and run with it, show us their might in mass,
get outta bed, Get dressed, get out the door, register and vote – FOR TRUTH, GOD AND COUNTRY
    – in the mid-term!!

    GO Beto!!!

  2. Wendy E Goldman says:

Great interpretation of this disgusting story, another one to add to Trump’s legacy. We will long regret the appointment of Kavanaugh to the SCOTUS.
Please also check out NOW’s campaign to thank Professor Ford for her courage in testifying to spread the truth: we have a LONG way to go for equality.
As always, thank you Kathleen Reardon for your wisdom and leadership.
